Friends of the California Nursery Gardens

Holiday Family tour & open house

Open House at the nursery park!

Come on out to the park to enjoy some holiday cheer. This is a free event, made possible by PG&E. Dates: December 21,22,23. Time: 1-4:00 pm. If you would like to go on a tour, they start at 1:00 and 2:30 at the nursery office. Come early or stay late and enjoy the park.

This event is kid- and adult-friendly.

If you missed the "Niles Palms go to the 1915 Panama-Pacific International Exposition" exhibit at the library this summer, you have another chance to see it.

We invite you to join us in the garden on Thursday mornings at 10 a.m. to noon at:

California Nursery Historical Park
Niles Boulevard at Nursery Avenue
Fremont CA

Please bring gloves, long sleeves, clippers, and water. We will be working in the area around the old California Nursery Company office: the rose garden, pollinator garden, Japanese garden, or cactus garden. We weed, rake, deadhead, prune, water, and plant.

Welcome to Friends of the California Nursery Gardens

The Friends of the California Nursery Gardens takes care of the various gardens surrounding the old office and the little windmill. The group cares for the rose garden, Japanese garden, cactus garde, and flower gardens.

The park is on the remaining grounds of the 150-year-old California Nursery Company. It is now one of Fremont's historical parks.

For more information about volunteer opportunities, contact:
the Math Science Nucleus which oversees volunteers in the park or come out to the garden on Thursdays 10-12.
