Lived in Niles since the 40s, charter member and former president of merchants association, worked in the cannery, ran a laundry mat, ran several lounges and resturants. Lived on J street, had a house in the heights, became an original buyer of one of "The Trees" condos where I still live.
Other:
My daughter was born in Niles and as a girl saw the California Nursery be replaced by the Rancho Arroyo development
and, while sad at the destruction of one of
her hangouts, she formed a desire to live there. She currently lives
on Posada Way with her family.
