I have just finished reading a really wonderful book that I would like to recommend. It's called "The Kite Runner" by Khaled Hosseini. It's a story mainly about two Afghani boyhood friends and how the Russian invasion of Afghanistan, amongst other experiences, affect their lives forever. It's a first novel by this author and it's the most gripping, interesting, and heartfelt novel I might have ever read. The emotions of guilt, duty, honor, redemption, and love are woven expertly throughout.
